Flew in to save a day, stayed near Lal Ghat, walked the old city.

Fly in, Lal Ghat
Morning flight, in the old city by noon. Ambrai ghat at sunset is the whole reason to come.

City Palace and Bagore ki Haveli
Palace first thing, haveli in the evening for the folk dance. It is touristy and also genuinely good.
Worth knowing
Skip the boat to Jag Mandir at midday. Same lake, better light at 5pm.

Sajjangarh, then out
Monsoon Palace for the view over the lakes, evening flight.

Everything worth seeing is walkable from Lal Ghat. Staying anywhere else adds autos to every day.

Local train, one night, back before Monday. Almost no planning required.

Konkan Railway down, scooters the whole time, no plan beyond which beach for sunset.

Drive down the ECR, stay inside White Town, walk everywhere.
