Delhi to Agra and back
Gatimaan at 8am, at the Taj by 10. Agra Fort after lunch, Mehtab Bagh for sunset across the river, evening train home.
Worth knowing
Buy Taj tickets online the night before. The counter queue is the longest part of the day.

The Taj is closed on Fridays. Every year people turn up anyway.
Mehtab Bagh across the river at sunset is the photograph everyone wants and almost nobody takes.

Train down, one fort a day, and a lot of time spent eating.

Same route, half the pace. Volvo up, a car for the local days, and nothing scheduled before 9am.

Manali in, Shimla out. The hardest and best trip on this list.
